MoCoARES Vision/Mission Build and maintain an organization of trained and properly equipped volunteers who, at all times, act professionally and with the highest ethics in support of Montgomery County and other authorized agencies. Goals The goal of Montgomery County Amateur Radio Emergency Services (MCARES) - Field based second-response teams (not first-responder based teams) - Damage assessment teams - Search team - Field-based tactical communications teams - Field-based logistics and support teams Activation of MoCoARES The Director of Emergency Services (or his appointee) or Authorized Persons in other Authorized Agencies will make the determination when to notify MoCoARES for activation and deployment. It is then up to MoCoARES to determine the resources needed to fulfill the request.
